The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicines ability to treat many common ailments including disorders of the Gastrointestinal, Urinary/Genital, Gynecological, Respiratory, Nervous and Circulatory systems.
Acupuncture also effectively treats disorders of the Bones, Muscles, Joints, Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat as well as Emotional and Psychological disorders. Acupuncture is a proven technique for helping withdrawal from addictions such as smoking, and can provide supportive therapy for other chronic and painful debilitating conditions.
When Acupuncture is performed by a skilled practitioner it should be quite comfortable. Acupuncture needles are very fine, about the width of a hair, and flexible. You may experience a sensation of heaviness or electricity in the area of the insertion and most patients fall asleep or report deep relaxation during the treatment.
In the hands of a comprehensively trained acupuncturist, your safety is assured. Acupuncture needles are disposable and most insertions are quite shallow in depth.
Some insurance companies do cover acupuncture. Medicare does not at this time. The office will print a coded super bill to submit to your insurance company. Payment is expected at the time of treatment.
$125.00 for the first session, $110.00 per follow-up session.
Acupuncture of the Palm Beaches accepts credit cards, Zelle payments, checks and cash.
Treatments are generally given in 8-12 session series on a weekly basis for chronic conditions. An acute backache might respond after one treatment, depending on the individual and how new the problem is. Many people opt for weekly or bi-monthly sessions for well-being and preventative health care after their original complaint is taken care of. We will discuss health goals on an on-going basis.
Sessions last 1-1.5 hours so that patients can have time to talk over health issues and learn how to reach realistic health goals
